The pattern for this tile was found in Berlin, hence the name. The original pattern was found on a coal burning stove. These stoves were made of brick and faced with tile. I was able to purchase an unglazed tile from an architectural salvage yard. From this 100 year old relic I was able to generate additional molds to produce my version of the tile you see here.
